Carlo Lorenzo was nominated as Best Male Host for live events at the 30th Aliw Awards, and he was also a finalist at the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television for the Best Travel Show Host category. He’s a freelance TV host, event host, voice talent, commercial model, and a blogger.

Highly respected and multi-awarded journalists including Jessica Soho, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Cheche Lazaro, Kata Inocencio, and Maria Ressa mentored Carlo. For TV performance, acting, and hosting, he was trained by: TV actress Malou De Guzman; writer-actor-director Joel Saracho; and theater actress-author Glecy Atienza.
He dedicated the early part of his career with GMA Network Inc. as news producer, senior reporter and anchor tasked to: gather news and information; set-up interviews; cover running stories; write scripts; supervise video editing; and deliver reports for all the newscasts of the network. The Filipino newscasts aired on GMA 7 and the English newscasts on QTV-11 (now rebranded as GMA News TV). He made in-depth reports as host-reporter of the GMA program “Reporter’s Notebook,” and was a news contributor for CNN World Report. GMA Network sponsored his participation in seminars conducted by professionals from international news agencies, specifically, CNN and Reuters. Carlo gained sufficient skills, honed his craft, widened connections and established credibility in this field.

Carlo graduated as a University Scholar from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, with a degree in B.A. Broadcast Communication. His GWA (General Weighted Average) is 1.625 with 1 being the highest and 5 as the lowest.
